November 5, 2016 – The Periwinkle Kickball Classic
This one-day tournament will be held November 5, 2016 at the Houston SportsPlex and anyone ages 14 and older is eligible to play. The Kickball Classic involves teams of 10 people or more rallying together to raise funds while kicking to improve the lives of those affected by cancer. Each team is guaranteed three games in the round robin tournament and individuals are welcome to attend as well. It’s going to be one unforgettably fun day!
For ten years, The Periwinkle Foundation has hosted a fall sports tournament raising more than $250,000 and bringing people together for fun, teamwork and a great cause. With more than 600 people attending, The Kickball Classic has become an event no one wants to miss.
Cycle For Life
The Periwinkle Foundation’s Annual Cycle for Life, has biking and spinning enthusiasts from around the city teaming up for an exciting fundraising event. The indoor spin-a-thon brings participants together for a fun-filled morning that will ensure the continuation of powerful Periwinkle Foundation programs.
Cycle for Life involves teams of four rallying together to raise funds while spinning to improve the lives of those affected by cancer. Each four-member team spins for four 30 minutes heats with the goal of burning the most calories and spinning the furthest distance.
Individuals are welcome to participate in the event as well. Activities throughout the morning include a silent auction, children’s games and fun for the entire family.
Periwinkle galas are traditionally nontraditional. Prior galas have featured everything from live elephants to marching bands, guaranteeing that our guests experience a night to remember.
The Periwinkle Foundation programs ensure the children and families affected by life-threatening illnesses have the opportunity to experience a childhood, and we bring the exuberance and joy of our programs into our Periwinkle Gala each year.
